Rice Village District, known as The Village among the locals, is one of Houston's oldest shopping destinations, having opened in the 1930s. The open-air mall has more than 300 shops in the immediate 16-block area. Rice Village is known for its small and eclectic shops and boutiques, but also includes common mall staples such as Victoria’s Secret, Express, and White House Black Market.
